Founder of Good Family Recordings, as well as a resident DJ and partner in the world renowned Stompy, Deron Delgado, aka "Dee", has been involved in the San Francisco house movement for nearly a decade. An in-demand DJ just about every week of the year all over his home base of SF and the United States, as well as playing internationally from the UK to Eastern Europe, to Barcelona to Mexico, Deron has become a mainstay in the house scene.
Along with playing records, Deron also makes them; whether it be collaborating with the house maestro Joey Youngman or his production partner Frugaletti, Deron has released original and remix material on the critically acclaimed labels Drop Music, Guesthouse, Herbal Essence, Memento, Blunted Funk and his own Good Family imprint. Starting the label in 2003, Deron and partner Mike Frugaletti continue to put out top-quality original material from such artists as Da Sunlounge, Thomas White, Joey Youngman, Troydon and Thomas Sahs to name a few. Going stronger than ever, Good Family continues to push out releases and remixes from the top underground house producers on the planet, including No Assembly Firm, JT Donaldson, Jason Hodges, Jacob London, The Jamanta crew, Leon Louder and Slum Science.
Not stopping there, Deron also is a partner and resident DJ in one of the longest running San Francisco production teams, Stompy, and its digital download website, www.stompy.com. Stompy the Party has been running for almost 15 years, and is widely regarded as one of the most respected names in house music in San Francisco. With their unforgettable parties and quality talent brought in for each event, Stompy is something you have to experience if you make it to SF. Now, under the guidance of Deron and his partner Preston Lytton, Stompy has branched off with a house music site where dancers and dj's can buy .mp3, .wav files and mixes from many of the major labels in dance. Nominated as "Best Download Site" for the House Music Awards, www.stompy.com has become recognized as a leader in the incredible potential of the digital download market. Taking influences from artists ranging from Derrick Carter to Fred Everything, from Induceve to Bugz in the Attic, Deron takes them and creates a style all his own, which translates to proper dance music. Enjoy the music and Be Good Family. |
